The Spirit of Humanities Awards for a year are given by the Indian branch of AmeriCares Foundation of USA. The Foundation supports delivery of health care and disaster management for natural disasers, as well as healthcare in the fields of child health, women's health, AIDS, cancer, community service, etc.

For the year 2013, UDAAN for the Disabled was chosen as the best Indian NGO in the field of Neurology for its innovative medical oriented researches and outcomes to enhance the quality of life of special need children with Neurodevelomental Disabilities. Following the presentation lecture, the Jury spent quite a bit of time questioning Dr.Mukherjee on our researches and outcomes using HBOT for CP and MB12 and other Biomedical Management for Autism, when used as supplementary therapies to mainstream Rehab therapies, to enhance quality of life over and above what could be achieved with rehab alone.
